andale: latin american-filipino cuisine

 hi blog. i'm back, i'm so back.

today, me and my classmates slash friends ate at ANDALE (spanish for the phrase 'hurry up'). it's a breakfast and lunch operation being conducted by cca level 4 students. the cuisine is latin-american-filipino and by reading those three words i know you'll think of another word: 'fusion'

and yes they do mix extraordinary flavors. expect burritos, tacos, enchiladas, tortillas, salsas, beans, chili peppers and more.

once you enter the room you'll immediately feel like you're in some other place like mexico, argentina, costa rica, etc. their uniform is colorful, their backdrop are cactuses and so are their center piece.
                                                         
                                                          
                                                                

we had cheese n' salsa nachos as an appetizer.
 
                                                                 

there were two choices for the main dish and i had the breakfast burrito. It consists of tortilla, tomatoes, potatoes, black beans, beef, ham, scrambled egg, and you might not believe this but it has rice as well, i guess that's the filipino twist. it was served with grilled green chili peppers and cheese on the side. imagine how heavy that was for breakfast. it was well seasoned and worth the money.

                                                         

for dessert we all had churros con chocolate. it was actually good. pillowy, puffy, hollow on the inside, cinnamon-y and just the right amount of sweetness.

                                                                

the set meal (w/c consists of appetizer, main dish, dessert, iced tea) will only cost you 60 pesos and they change their menu everyday. fresh fruit shakes and coffee are also available but has an extra charge. they do take outs and deliveries along katipunan (minimum of five orders) with no delivery charge. now where else can you have this? they also do functions for big groups of people.

                                                              
                                                               

andale is a good place to chill with your friends or whoever you want to be with. the service is nice and the food is good. (:

so i've been exhausted for the past few months since i entered hell i mean school. i know some people think that this course is easy. I DON'T THINK SO. while some university students are seating bored on their maths, we SLAVES (lol) are burning our energy and when there's no energy left, we burn ourselves lol jk but seriously it's DIFFICULT, physically. and i just remembered that i have a multiply account so yeahhhhhhhh. i've been looking for some "run for a cause" stuff and so far i haven't seen one here so bye!

this is heavenly. the easiest red sauce that i have ever made blew me away. man with only tomatoes, BUTTER and onion ahhhhh so good even on angel hair pasta and it wouldn't hurt to add a tiny bit of parmesan. smittenkitchen you rock \m/

everyone's talking about the resumption of classes tomorrow. and of course, i can't miss this too. so i've been in the dorm since yesterday and right at this moment i know that i'm turning nuts. i'm soo troubled!! i wonder what's going to happen tomorrow o.O wonders or disasters, i'll be fine. :)
